About the laboratory
The prime investigator of the laboratory is Professor, Joohun Ha of Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, College of Medicine, Kyung Hee University, Korea.
The major task of our laboratory is to understand the energy metabolisms and the mechanisms of cellular energy sensors. We also aim to develop drug candidates and functional materials based on the knowledge obtained. We are developing exercise-mimetic drug candidates, which have anti-obesity, anti-diabetes, anti-cancer effects.
Another interest of our laboratory is the development of cosmetic materials with whitening effect, anti-aging effect, and hair growth effect.
